Steamed Vegetable Quiche

Serves: 10
Preparation time approx. 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 packs (500g) short crust pastry
  • 4 portions Birds Eye Foodservice Steam Bag Vegetables
  • 6 eggs
  • 300ml milk
  • 200g grated cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped herbs (parsley, chives or dill)
  • Seasoning
  • Butter to grease the tin
  • Flour for rolling out pastry

To prepare:

  1. Pre-Heat oven to 190ºC/gas mark 5.
  2. Butter a quiche tin, roll out pastry and line tin.
  3. Blind bake pastry for ten minutes, let cool.
  4. Mix eggs and milk, and season.
  5. Fill quiche with vegetables and egg mixture.
  6. Top with grated cheese and bake in oven until golden, for approx. 30 min.
