Pasta And Soya Ragu

Serves: 10
Preparation time approx. 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 750g of dry pasta shapes e.g. penne.
  • Home made sauce, see below for recipe
  • 800g of Birds Eye Foodservice Soya Beans

Homemade Chunky Tomato Sauce:

  • 1.6kg of canned chopped tomatoes
  • 2x large onions- chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic- chopped
  • 4 tbsps olive oil
  • 5 tbsp chopped basil leaves

To prepare:

  1. Cook the pasta and Birds Eye Foodservice Soya Beans as per instructions.
  2. Combine these in a large pan and add the sauce.
  3. Heat through and serve.

Homemade Chunky Tomato Sauce:

  1. Gently fry the onion in the oil until soft
  2. Add the garlic and cook for a further minute.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes, stir and simmer for about 15 mins.
  4. Add the chopped basil and cook for another 5 mins.
